PlatinumSurgeons is an exclusive, members-only platform. To get started, new clients must sign up for a platform membership. All patients must have an existing diagnosis before requesting an online second opinion. An existing treatment plan is not required.

‍How to Book an Appointment: Click on the “Book Appointment” button. Browse through Platinum Providers’ profiles to find a specialist whose qualifications best match your needs. Select an available time slot from the provider’s calendar. Pay a small online consultation (platform usage) fee to confirm your appointment.

‍Note: We do not take any commission from providers if you decide to pursue in-person treatment after your consultation. If you don’t find a suitable appointment slot, please email us at appointments@platinumsurgeons.com. Our customer care team will do their best to connect you with your preferred provider as soon as possible.

Individual Provider Consultation: $295
Connect one-on-one with a Platinum Provider for a detailed review and expert opinion on your case.

Complex Case Review (Team of 1–3 Providers): $499
Ideal for more involved or multi-disciplinary cases. A team of expert providers will collaboratively review your case and provide comprehensive insights and recommendations.

Online second opinions are not available to patients who are hospitalized, in treatment at a hospice or palliative care facility.

The intent of an online second opinion is to augment on-going clinical information and decision-making between a patient and their primary provider and is NOT intended for use in any claim or dispute including but not limited to litigation, arbitration, claim for disability or other benefits, claim for workers compensation and/or malpractice claims.

Currently, most health plans do not cover online second opinions or consultations, so patients are responsible for the cost of the second opinion.

Once your appointment is confirmed, you will receive a secure video conferencing link for your consultation. Key Details:

‍Share Reports During the Call
You are encouraged to share your medical reports directly from your device during the consultation.

‍Optional Pre-Upload of Records
With your consent, you will have the option to upload your medical records up to 30 minutes before the appointment to allow the provider time for review.

‍Data Privacy & Compliance
In line with strict compliance and privacy standards, all uploaded records will be permanently deleted within 30 minutes after your appointment ends.

Our commitment is centered around quality, transparency, and ethical engagement. Only selected institutions and surgeons are eligible for participation after a strict vetting and nomination process.

No-Commission on Referrals, - We do not request any percentage of professional fees or commissions from hospital’s in-person services billing to the patient. We only charge a small appointment booking fees for the platform usage.

Free Participation, - Listing on the platform is free for the qualified hospital and the doctor. This ensures equitable access and maintains our commitment to integrity and patient-centricity.

PlatinumSurgeons is strongly committed to protecting the privacy and security of all our patients. The Included Health online portal meets all federal requirements for protecting personal health information under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). In addition, Included Health does not store any credit card information in their system. All financial transactions are processed by Included Health securely using industry standard payment processing tools.

Once your appointment is confirmed, here’s what to expect:

‍1. Appointment Confirmation EmailYou will receive an email containing your Appointment ID.

‍2. Contacting the Doctor's AI Agent - Return to the doctor’s profile (where you booked the appointment).Each doctor’s card includes a "Phone" button — press it to connect with the doctor’s specialist-specific AI Agent. This AI Agent is designed to help you describe and document your case.

‍3. Asking Questions You may ask a maximum of five (5) questions. This limit ensures the expert has enough time to give thoughtful, personalized responses. All questions must be finalized and recorded as part of your initial conversation with the AI Agent. We recommend calling the AI Agent at least 30 minutes before your scheduled appointment to complete this step.

‍4. Follow-Up Clarifying QuestionsIf you have follow-up clarifying questions about the expert’s response, you may call the AI Agent again using the same Appointment ID (CaseID).You may ask up to two (2) clarifying questions, within five (5) business days of your original appointment.These must be clarifications of existing questions only — no new questions can be introduced.

While we aim to address your follow-ups, please note that we cannot guarantee the expert's availability for additional input.If necessary, a PlatinumSurgeons clinician may follow up with the expert on your behalf.

‍5. In-Person Visits If you wish to explore in-person treatment with the expert and are flexible to travel, the PlatinumSurgeons team can assist in coordinating a visit.

For the most part, yes. However, we cannot offer online opinions to a small number of individuals living in certain excluded states and countries due to regulatory constraints. We will notify you directly if your state/country is excluded and refund all payments.
